Gould’s Bronze Cuckoo (Chalcites russatus)

The Little Bronze Cuckoo is Australia’s smallest cuckoo, about the size of a sparrow. It occurs in the more humid parts of Northern Australia, from far northeastern NSW to Cape York. The short clip presented here was filmed in Ingham, North Queensland. Often confused with the Little Bronze Cuckoo Chalcites minutillus.  Indeed the validity of these two species as separate entities is a matter for debate.
