Little Raven (Corvus mellori)

The Little Raven is the smaller of the two crows that are common and widespread in the Canberra area and the surrounding SE of Australia. This species often forms post breeding flocks, as seen here. While not usually seen in the City, it can be found in surrounding districts including around the highest peaks of the Australian Alps. In more urban environments than the outskirts of a small town, as seen here, this species is replaced by the larger Australian Raven.
