Pied Honeyeater (Certhionyx variegatus)

The Pied Honeyeater is a highly nomadic honeyeater of central to northwestern Australia. It moves about in response to food availability and from experience is very attracted to flowering Emu-bush (Eremophila spp.), which are widspread in the arid zone. The call made by the male (seen and heard there) travels far. Males also perform a spectacular display flight to attract females.
