White-eared honeyeater (Lichenostomus leucotis)

he White-eared honeyeater is medium sized honeyeater widespread in forest and woodland in eastern and southern Australia. In the Canberra region is it common in montane forest – it is one of the few honeyeaters to stay up there in winter, due to its propensity to hunt for insects etc. under bark of trees, as seen here.
